My 2026 Chicago Marathon Charity:  PAWS

While I have mixed feelings about the human race, my love of animals is unwavering.

First of all, I know what you're thinking: "Didn't you say the 2025 Chicago Marathon was going to be your last?!" Well, it turns out I lied, but not intentionally...

I lost my best friend this year. Walter was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. A once-in-a-lifetime shelter dog.

I rescued Walter just as much as he rescued me, and same goes for his brother Bruno, who Walter took under his wing and gave him the love he was denied the first two and half years of his life. He was our rock, our constant, and our best friend.

It's too soon to adopt a new brother for Bruno, but as I scroll through adoptable dogs anyways, one thing is still painfully clear: There are still too many homeless dogs out there that need help.

So I'm here, one last time, to raise money by running the Chicago Marathon for PAWS, not only an amazing shelter for animals, but an advocate for homeless animals everywhere.

Please donate or better yet, go be a hero and adopt a dog, and I promise you, they'll be a hero right back.

This last one is for you, Walter.
